How To Brief Us On Content So We Can Write In Your Voice
Why tone of voice matters
We won't write content for your website until we've captured and validated your tone of voice. Content that sounds nothing like you — or like generic agency copy — does more harm than good.
How we capture your tone of voice
Usually through: reviewing existing content you're happy with, asking targeted questions about how you'd describe your services in conversation, and sometimes a short recorded conversation where we listen to how you actually talk about your work.
What you can do to help
- Share examples you like: Existing content, or anything elsewhere that captures a tone you like.
- Tell us what to avoid: Phrases or styles that would immediately feel wrong.
- Review drafts promptly: The first piece we write is the most important to review carefully. Your feedback on that draft shapes everything that follows.
Who approves content?
You do, always. We never publish to your live site without your explicit sign-off.
